John 5:2-8
2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

요한복음 5:2-8
2 이제 예루살렘의 양 시장 곁에 히브리말로 베데스다라 하는 연못이 있는데 거기에 주랑 다섯 개가 있고
3 그 안에 허약한 자, 눈먼 자, 다리 저는 자, 몸이 오그라든 자들의 큰 무리가 누워 물이 움직이는 것을 기다리더라.
4 이는 어떤 때에 천사가 연못에 내려와 물을 휘저었고 물을 휘저은 뒤에 누구든지 먼저 들어가는 자는 무슨 병에 걸렸든지 온전하게 되었기 때문이더라.
5 거기에 삼십팔 년 동안 병약함을 지닌 어떤 사람이 있더라.
6 예수님께서 그가 누운 것을 보실 때에 그가 이제 그런 상태로 오랫동안 있은 줄 아시고 그에게 이르시되, 네가 온전하게 되고자 하느냐? 하시니
7 그 허약한 사람이 그분께 대답하되, 선생님이여, 물을 휘저을 때에 나를 연못에 넣어 주는 사람이 없어 내가 가는 동안 다른 사람이 나보다 먼저 내려가나이다, 하매
8 예수님께서 그에게 이르시되, 일어나 네 자리를 들고 걸어가라, 하시니

Text Verse (핵심구절) 
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
3 그 안에 허약한 자, 눈먼 자, 다리 저는 자, 몸이 오그라든 자들의 큰 무리가 누워 물이 움직이는 것을 기다리더라.

Jesus saw people waiting around a pool of water called Bethesda.
There were people that were helpless and sickly.... waiting for the water to move. 
The water was available, but had no power until it was moving. An angel would trouble it. 
예수님은 베데스다라하는 연못 주위에 많은 사람들이 모여 어떤 것을 기다리고 있는 것을 보셨습니다. 
그곳에는 도움을 받을 수 없고 병든 사람들이 그 연못의 물이 움직이는 그 때만을 기다리고 있었습니다.
그 물은 효능이 있었으나, 그 물이 움직이기 전까지는 어떤 힘도 없었습니다. 한 천사가 그 물을 휘저어야만 그 때 물에는 효능이 발했습니다. 

We need to ensure our spiritual life remains in motion!... remains active.
Paul told Timothy to "... Stir up the gift of God, which was in him..." 
the people at the pool of Bathesda had a need in their life and were waiting for the water to move before their needs could be met. 
우리는 우리의 영적인 삶이 계속해서 역동적이고 움직이는 삶이 될 수 있도록 해야 합니다.
바울은 디모데에게 이렇게 말했습니다. "... 네 속에 있게 된 하나님의 선물을 네게 불붙이게 하려고..."
베데스다 연못에 있던 사람들은 모두 다 각자의 삶에 어떤 필요가 있었고, 그들의 필요가 충족되기 전까지 그 물이 움직이기만을 기다리고 있었습니다. 

If they had only realized that there was 'Living Water' already moving among them... His name was Jesus. 
Jesus approached this lame man and asked him, 'if he wanted to be made whole?" 
Jesus took the invitation... He reached out to this man first. 
God always reaches out to man first.
만약 그들이, 이미 그곳에서 그들 가운데서 움직이고 계시는 '생명의 물' 예수님이 계시다는 것을 알았다면 어떠했을까요?
예수님은 이 걷지 못하는 사람에게 다가가셨고, 그가 낫고자 하는지 물으셨습니다. 
예수님은 이 사람에게 먼저 다가가셨고 그분께서 먼저 이 사람에게 말을 건네셨습니다. 
하나님은 언제나 우리에게 먼저 다가오십니다. 

The lame man shared with Jesus how people would get between him and the water.... they would block his opportunity for a blessing. 
There may have been people between this lame man and the pool of water, but there was nothing between him and Jesus. He didn't have to wait anymore! 

- We don't have to wait to be saved!
- We don't have to wait to be delivered!
- We don't have to wait to be healed! 
이 걷지 못하는 사람은 예수님께, 자신과 이 연못 사이의 많은 사람들로 인해서 자신이 어려움을 겪고 있음을 토로했습니다. 거기 있던 많은 사람들로 인해서 이 사람은 치유의 복을 얻을 수 있는 기회를 박탈당하고 있었습니다. 
이 연못과 이 걷지 못하는 자 사이의 많은 사람들은 그에게 장애물이었습니다. 하지만 그와 마주한 예수님 그 둘 사이에는 어떠한 장애물도 없었습니다. 그는 이제 더이상 저 연못의 물을 기다릴 필요가 없었습니다. 

- 우리는 구원 받기 위해 기다릴 필요가 없습니다.
- 우리는 우리의 죄에서 건져짐을 받기 위해 기다릴 필요가 없습니다.
- 우리는 치유 받기 위해 기다릴 필요가 없습니다. 

He was lame and could not get to the water for help, so Jesus came to him! 
I'm glad that when we were lost in our sin and needed help, Jesus came to where we were. 
그는 걸을 수 없었고 그로인해 연못으로 갈 수 없었습니다. 하지만 예수님께서 그에게 친히 오셨습니다.
우리는 우리가 죄 안에서 잃어버린자 되었을 때, 예수님께서 죄된 내가 있는 곳으로 나를 찾아 오셨다는 사실에 기뻐할 수 있습니다. 

Jesus said that He came, 'to seek and to save that which was lost.' 
예수님은 말씀하셨습니다. '잃어버린 것을 찾아 구원하러 왔노라.'

4 ... whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
4 ... 누구든지 먼저 들어가는 자는 무슨 병에 걸렸든지 온전하게 되었기 때문이더라.

Whosoever stepped in FIRST!... in order to get healed, you had to be the fastest! 
But! We don't have to do that anymore! Jesus can bless all of us, whenever we come to Him!
Jesus said, 'Whosoever shall come unto me I will in no wise cast out!'
누구든지 먼저 들어가는 자... 온점함을 얻기 위한 조건은 가장 빨라야 한다는 것!
하지만 우리는 이제 그러지 않아도 됩니다. 언제라도 우리가 예수님께 나아갈 때에 그분은 우리 모두에게 복 주실 수 있는 분입니다. 예수님은 이렇게 말씀하십니다. 
요한복음 6:37 "내게 오는 자는 내가 결코 내쫓지 아니하리라."

What is the need in your life today?.... Jesus can help you right now, we don't have to wait any longer. 
He is the Living Water, already moving to show Himself mighty toward you. 
오늘 우리 삶의 필요는 무엇입니까? 예수님은 오늘 바로 이 자리에서, 우리를 도우시는 분입니다. 우리는 이제 더이상 기다릴 필욕가 없습니다. 
그분은 살아계신 생명의 물이시며, 이미 그분의 능력을 우리에게 보여주고 계십니다.
